Culture Port Kronborg
For many years the area between Kronborg, the city of Elsinore and the city’s shipyard has been in a state of neglect. A new landscape scheme is remedying this by opening up the area and hereby connecting the city, the harbour, the shipyard and the castle. The area spanning from the castle to the shipyard will form a forum for cultural and recreational activities and thus become an integral and natural part of the life of the city.
Kronborg is an irreplaceable part of Danish cultural heritage and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Realdania is funding the project with approx. EUR 15.2 million.
This landscape scheme is being realized in cooperation with the Municipality of Elsinore, the Palaces and Properties Agency and the Cultural Heritage Administration.
The building clients are the Municipality of Elsinore and the Palaces and Properties Agency.
